For 25 years after the rebellion that abolished the 'Hunger Games' peace reigned.

 But peace is never permanent and old enemies have risen back to power.

 No one is prepared, least of all Hazel Conifer, a teenager from District 12 who is still suffering with the grief of losing her sister and father. So when she is forced into the new Games, she'll need more than her wits to survive.

As she and her male counterpart, Meir Aster, form an impenetrable bond, she has to remember to only one can win. 

24 tributes and they all want to get home.
But there can only be one winner.
And the capitol won't make the same mistake twice.
