In a magical land called Enchancia, a boy named Deville scrapes by, stealing sausages, rolls, and meats to last. But when he takes a honeycomb cake that belongs to The King and gets thrown into a murderous trench, Deville's life changes completely.
Marked and cursed at birth with an image of the devil's horns on his left shoulder, and an image of the angel's wings on his right, Deville's finds out that a prophecy has been foretold of a person born with those marks-who seems to be going in the wrong direction-will save Enchancia from the immortals. Of course Deville doesn't want anything to do with this prophecy, but because of a girl named Claudia, who wants to save her beloved forest-at least that's what she says-he is thrown into battles here on Earth, in reality, in the above, and in Hell. Deville may bring an end to all magic-but not in the way he or Claudia expected.
