Approaching the centennial celebration and her 17th birthday, Camilla Buchannan has lived by the System her entire life, anxiously awaiting her turn to contribute to its growth. Until she is the only one to receive her number, something completely unheard of in their society. Wholeheartedly believing in the System, she thinks that this mistake can be fixed. What if it can't? Desperate to find out what the System is hiding, she soon realizes her life is at stake and those willing to help her are put at risk too. She's willing to fight for her beliefs. Question is, is anyone else?

The Devourer (A Highschool DxD Fanfic)
With the impossible size of the universe, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that there is life beyond just humans out there. Countless things have lived and died yet one stands above the rest due to the sheer amount of time it has lived. Almost since the beginning of the universe itself has it existed; a biological monster that would destroy and consume anything in its path. Planets, asteroids, entire stars even; whatever got in this things way wouldn't stay in the way for very long. It was a repetitive existence until one day the abomination met its match in the form of an absolutely enormous star. It ended with a draw that sent the abomination rocketing off in a random direction away from the place it had been consuming for so long. It traveled for millions upon millions of years before finally coming to a stop just outside of some odd new planet brimming with life. Along the way through space, it gained awareness of its surroundings so it was now able to choose what to do with this odd planet. Consume or Explore . . . So pretty much this is over but I will be working on sequel if anyone will be interested in reading it. I just couldn't live with killing them off but I had planned to write a new one anyway but it felt like it wouldn't be the same so I brought them back. In Martha's world, an alternative earth, the people follow the rules of 'The Grandmothers'. When you turn twenty five you are shelved, no longer allowed to date and forbidden from marrying. The earth is still recovering from the third world war. Resources are controlled by the Elites and the environment is polluted and many countries are damaged beyond repair. The population that survived the war has been ravaged by chemical weapons. The genders are out of balance. For over sixty years the birth rate of female babies has far outweighed their male counterparts. Women are resigned to the knowledge that if they are not married by the time they are twenty five that they never will be. They have limited choices once they are shelved. Martha chooses to go against the wishes of her family. She will spend the rest of her life taking care of her widowed Father as opposed to working and giving all her money to her younger female cousins to supplement their dowry. Fate and time has a different plan. Martha is drawn into a battle between The 19 and The Wild Roses. Two different factions each wanting to use and twist Martha for their own ambitions. Will Martha be able to bloom and change the world for the better or will she crushed? ....This story is a work in progress, it has themes and ideas that may change over time as the story develops and as I learn what you like and dislike about the novel. Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. Iβve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. βUrgh,β I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasnβt come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first.
