A rare gene passed down that allows you to see ghosts and predict the future? Cassie has a family full of secrets. When she was only three her sister committed suicide because of this gene. The gift to see the dead could be incredible but it can be dangerous if not properly trained, and Cassie's sister knew that, which is why she committed suicide. Now Cassie is 18 and her cousin bonnie has the rare gene. Everyone treats bonnie like she is the eighth wonder of the world. Bonnie has been trained her whole life to control this gift but does Bonnie really have the gene? When Cassie starts seeing people that no one else can see or starts having dreams about a red door or starts to have visions well it's only safe to assume Cassie is crazy, right? Cassie has the gene, not bonnie but can Cassie handle it or will fear consume her. With the help of beau her ghost hunting partner who is , dashing, arrogant, stab worthy, a slime ball and... Just Damn sexy she will figure out things she didn't even know about the world she lived in. Beau and Cassie are on a mysterious Mission in which she has to hunt the evil spirits that are crossing over to the realm of the living. The coven (the elite of the last ghost hunters) want Cassie to help them on her mission because as it turns out she is extra special, but there is a problem her mother doesn't trust the coven. But who can she trust in this world of the dead and living. Only time will tell.

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that.
