"I have nine lives." Chat would always tell her. Marinette always believed him, though. She would try her best to protect him and he would try his best to protect her. Every time Chat "died" Marinette thought it was a miracle, one that he could never run out of. Little did she know, one day she would be proved wrong. Her kitten would soon run out of miracles, and it would be her own fault.
note: the first two chapters are flashbacks, the actual fanfic begins in the 3rd
