after years of separation due to his harsh father, adrien's cousin kiko has returned to paris. and with her return comes the appearace of a mysterious new superhero: firefly, as well as a rash of new akumas. it's almost as though hawkmoth is angry . . .
meanwhile, adrien is beginning to find pieces of a puzzle that seemingly points in the direction of his mother, who disappeared years ago and left a brokenhearted adrien with a stone-cold gabriel agreste. if he finds her, he hopes things will become better, but there are a lot of obstacles, including (surprisingly) his own father. and he's starting to see certain things in a new way - things and people. namely, one dark-haired, clumsy classmate with a striking resemblance to his superhero crush.
