"Forgive and forget; that's what he told me. How could I forgive the person who stole my life, let alone forget?"
Eighteen year old Taylor Moore is just one graduation away from getting off the secluded island where she was raised. She's also one graduation from leaving her abusive alcoholic father, her bully peers, and her 'lower class' life; that is until she meets Kale. What he has come for is a mystery to Taylor and the rest of the island's inhabitants, along with the strange ship sinking's, and missing persons along the coast.
Taylor soon finds out exactly what Kale is looking for when she discovers she has something Kale wants, and is forced into a completely different world from what she knows; a world full of manipulation and deceit, gruesome violence, and a forbidden romance.
Although her hate is strong for Kale, her lust is uncontainable. Taylor must learn a very difficult lesson in love and status; she will learn that her life was never what it seemed.
