When the human race is threatened by the development of a new meta-species called Razers, the young are trained to fight for and protect the wealthy. As the Razers grow in power, governments begin to fall, a new pandemic rages across North America, and the survivors are forced to flee, on the run and on their own.

Isa, raised as the daughter of a war general, is considered the best bodyguard money can buy. She is working her way through Europe, trying to find a buried bank vault that explains the origin of the Razers and contains a powerful weapon to defeat them. However, when she's hired to escort a wealthy CEO across an infested countryside and meets Dylan, another soldier who also yearns for the truth, they learn that finding it may be much harder than they anticipated.
