Don't Kill Your Heroes

Maya Rayas Destina is just a normal girl living the destroyed world they live in today. The ice caps melted, oceans rising, and heat gaining. Only small parts of three continents are functional. Six cities were forged out of those three continents.
But that's not all, rebels have been attacking and killing off what's left of they're small population. This is why the heroes were formed. They protect us from these rebels, and from the dangerous environment surrounding us.
But now the heroes are dead, and we need to find three new ones. This is why there's the competition. It tests people ages 13-18 to see if they have what it takes to be the next heroes.
