The cold wind hit me and sends chills down my spine I shivered from the sudden cold I felt inside myself. This place looked vacant no sign of a life, the trees were naked, the road was cover with snow the only noise I could hear was of the wind passing by and my heart pounding in my chest. I was finally here standing in front of my sister’s grave.
I kneeled down and touched the tomb with shaking fingers as a tear escape my eyes I was too late to give her a proper funeral let alone saving her life. I was ashamed to call myself her sister. I couldn’t even be there for her in the time of need.
“I am sorry but I promise I’ll look after Jenna and love her like my own, I don’t know what James did but if you wrote and inform me that Jenna is not safe with him then I’ll protect her even if it means protecting her from her father! R.I.P Julia I love you forever and always” I whispered and placed the black roses down, near her tomb and got up and left to fulfill my new quest.

I lifted my top slightly to see that there was a faint scar of the burn, I smiled at the thought of no more pain. I looked up to see the wolves were gone. "You have a lot of explaining to do young lady." I turned around to see Vincent and James with only shorts on. "I don't know what you mean?" I said innocently. I looked around to see Ethan gone. "We mean how did your wounds heal so quickly?" Vincent replied. "Well to get an answer you will have to catch me first." I said running off letting my wolf take over once again, Natalie shifts into my wolf and takes off. "I'll take the beating, but don't touch her," my father begged, broken and desperate. His plea fell on deaf ears as the command was given. The lashes came swiftly, and while my family screamed in horror, my uncles and father tried to mask their pain. But if you looked closely, you could see the agony etched in their faces. Each blow left me numb, but my mind screamed for revenge. I wanted retribution-for Liam, my grandmother, my father, my cousins, my aunts, and even those who once hated me cried out for it. But when I looked at my father, it was too late. He was unconscious, held tightly by those who had restrained him. I struggled through the pain, rushing to his side, bloodied and broken. "Help him, please!" I screamed, tears streaming down my cheeks. I laid in bed for days on end where I heard a knock on my door. It opened and I saw James standing there. He looked speechless. I sat up and motioned for him to sit next to me. He sat down and he wrapped his arms around me. "Shh Charlie it'll get better." He said stoking my cheeks. "Tell me James please tell me this is all some sick joke." I said looking up at his eyes. "I can't. I wish I could but I can't we can do this Charlie, we can get through it and I need you to remember that no matter what happens, you'll always have me." He said kissing the top of my head. I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. I knew I would be safe as soon as I saw the little cottage at the end of the thick forest. I was so close to my freedom, so close to opening the door. Bam! My body instantly became cold. I squealed as the snow fell into my collar and down my back. I wiggled trying to get it to pass through my coat and drop out the bottom. I turned around with a glare on my face. My father stood facing me with a smug grin. Again, I attempted to stomp into the house when suddenly, my mother jumped out at me out of no where and pelted snowballs at my entire body, I noticed through the chaos my big sister was also helping her. "OKAY! I surrender!" I cried, falling back into the icy blanket with tears of laughter flowing from my eyes. ********* I gasped as I woke from my dream. I looked at the forest around me. Cold, dark and empty. I still had hope that they were just hiding and that this was all just a bad dream, but after a moment or two of listening to the trees creaking, I sighed. I was alone.
