13 year old Imani and her 16 year old brother Daniel are put into the system after their father and mother were found murdered in their backyard. 2 years later Daniel is released since he has come of age and says that he will come back for Imani. But as time flies by Imani loses all hope for her brother coming back. When Imani turns 16 she gets adopted. The family welcomed her and she loved them just as they loved her. She feels like she finally had a normal life, but when people from her past come back into the picture she fears for her life and for the people that she loves. She figures she has to whatever she has to do to keep them safe. She runs away finding someone she never thought she would see again. When finding out more about what happened in her past she looks out seeking for Revenge.
