Berluka's a Demon, Rylan is his cousin, and also a demon incarnated in human form. Why? To be with his angelic soulmate of course. Normally that sort of thing is frowned upon, but it pays being royalty. Especially since Berluka has the rare gift of Sight, able to see and connect the strings that tie soulmates together, be they red or white strings.

Syrian is an Archangel, sworn to stand on the side of light. He has also been charged with taking care of Evanora, his sister, an Archangel incarnated in human form dedicated to finding her other half. It's up to him to not only guard his loving sister in this life, but aid her in her search for her soulmate.
