This is a true story my Nana told me from when she was growing up in London during the Blitz. I obviously have fictionalized it a bit, but it is a true account. She passed away recently, so I'm writing this as a tribute to her and also so the stories of people who went through World War Two won't be forgotten.All Rights Reserved

A flight nurse, specifically, where she'd be on board with the men, aiding them when needed, her skills there to help save lives that would be lost if she weren't on board. Through this process, Simone met the men she would be stationed with, being those of the 100th Bomb Group. They all seemed okay in Simone's opinion- except for one, that is. John D. Brady, the bane of her existence- he was insufferable, always cranky, and for some reason hated her before she could even have a real conversation with him. The hatred was mutual, of course- however, the hatred was quick to morph into something different, something more friendly after the two encountered near-death situations. It is 1914, and Henry Anderson is watching the world descend into war. Like many young men at the time, he is fascinated by the idea of warfare and glory.
