You know, those things that only powerful people can make up? Yeah. Those. They were the beginning of everything that ever went wrong in my life, but also the thing that led me to the end. Although, I didn't know that at the time, so a few bruises and kisses down the line, I found myself faced with a big problem. After high school, eighteen-year-old Patrick took up residence in the apartment above his parent's book store; the same bookstore he worked at. Angsty and tired of Chicago, he only agreed to work at the dull place to gather enough money to attend an out-of-state university. He craved excitement and something to save him from the bland life he lived. When strange killings occur around the city Patrick comes face to face with a vampire but this wasn't exactly the kind of excitement he had wished for. Note: Some parts of this story, such as the characters, are based on the 'A Little Less Sixteen Candles' video, but I put my own spin on the whole concept of the vampires and other certain details because I wanted to.
