Through the trees I watch as a young witch comes into my line of view. Her bright yellow dress catching my eye, looking as if it were made from the sun. The slight current of wind causing her pale blonde hair to whip around her in a kind of sillouette. Everything about her strikes me as delicate. Fragile. Alive.

Raya is a 17 year old witch that lives with her grandmother Listalin, who is the town healer. When Raya was very young her mother went into The Grove and never came back. The Grove is the forest of the dead. The spirit realm. When Raya defies her grandmother and wanders in, what happens when she catches the eye of a dark and powerful being? Will she be able to find her way back home or will her soul be damned like the rest?
