After the zombie apocalypse started the government put everyone that has survived in an underground unit. Although, zombies still manage to get into the high schools underground. The government classified everyone, but some don't like it. At Aspen's high school, she experiences new friends, bullies, crushes, and zombies. When she finds out what the army is planning to do to the Spike Class high school, she must survive anything that they throw at her.
