On the edge of town, there is a forest. Surrounded by caution tape, electric fences, and brick structures to keep something inside from coming out. Missing person posters line the roads for miles. A search crew on constant back-up. But the phone lines are quiet in the police station. The posters rot in puddles from last night's rain storm. Flashlights are kept in closets. Winnie is one of the few determined to find out why. Her sisters' disappearance and murder of their stepfather leave the hollow town with something to wonder. All that's left of her is a single note. Resting outside the barbed-wire fences. Winnie knows she must be alive, just like the others. But what exactly is on the other side of that fence? The story of a war made by monsters, abuse, hope, lovers, and liars. Cold killings and assumptions that are drawn all wrong. This world is backward. This world a forest by the name of DeadWood. **I will start posting a new chapter soon! Chapters (for now) will be uploaded every Sunday**
