For kid, all the responsibilities of talking over his father's place, is coming way to soon. Given the situation, he leaves death city, alone. On the way, he runs into trouble. He wins the fight, but the battle without his weapons, has left him tired, and wounded. But to his luck, a young girl named Skylor finds him and takes him to her home.

Without kid, all of Death city was in chaos. with all the misters at the DWMA worried about who would take on Lord death's place, the keshan cause more trouble than usual.
But of course all of this happens, while sky's brother, Cole, is in town.
