Some go to get away from home, some go to follow their parents' footsteps, etc. Well, Amiya however chose to go because she got into some trouble at home. Her parents made her make a choice, either they send her to rehab or she could go to college that was an hour away. She chose college.

So I read this fic ages ago but it wasn't complete and it hadn't been updated since 2014 and I really want to finish it so I decided to finish it myself, however, all credit for the idea and the first chapter goes to jaeparker on archiveofourown and their fic was called 'your graduation'. This is their summary: Michael and Gavin grew up together. Inseparable. best friends for life. Until One day Gavin just stops talking to Michael entirely. Right when Michael needs his best friend most, he's gone in an instant. Gavin leaves Michael to deal with school, growing up, and the loss of both of his parents alone.
