The Pevensies left her when she needed them the most. She battled the Telmarines while pregnant. She lost her baby in battle and was taken as a prisoner.

Years later, a young prince came into the prison and found her. The boy told his father and the two took the queen to the boys room.

Ever since then, she's been hiding in the prince's room. He takes very good care of her. Feeds her, clothes her, lets her bathe in his room, etc.
