There's a demon in me, a wretched being,
Goring my spirit and crushing my feelings,
Destroying the last bits of my self-esteem,
While shoving away the ones who love me.
There's a demon in me, an evil thing,
Lying, thieving, sinning, and thriving,
I feed it because it has imprisoned me,
My heart's locked in a cage, and it's taken my body.
There's a girl in this world, whose heart beats weakly,
She's lost and afraid, doesn't know what's happening,
She wants to be good, but she doesn't know how,
She has a demon inside her, and it's tearing her down.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. [BLURB] "Well, now I'm back and I'm gonna drag you to court, you piece of shite," she said before passing a humorless chortle. "Do that and you're doomed." He sniggered, his manevolent gaze hurling obscenities towards her. "Oh yeah? How?" She rose a perfect eyebrow, animosity etched on each lineament. "Let's just say, I have something of yours that'll destroy you." The telltale monstrosity perceptible in his evil kingdom of eyes set a havoc inside her adrenaline rushing body but she held her grounds strong. "And what's that?" And there he showed her something that choked the life out of her frail body as she lost her balance in dizziness. ****** Love is elusive but sometimes it knocks right at your door but you're too arrogant to pay it any heed or maybe too scared to acknowledge it. Either way, destiny always knows how to play its part well. You can ignore it but can never run away from it. It never lets you evade itself and follows you everywhere, like a shadow. Crooning and spreading its arms right open at you, enveloping you from every nook, cajoling you, brandishing your tattered soul, and enticing you to the point where you have to surrender and accept it. Where you have to hold on to it and let everything else go. Because sometimes all a ragged soul and a chasm heart need is a pint of love. The tale of two youngsters who kept finding their way towards each other no matter how hard they tried to ignore it. Life would always collide their paths. I dealt with it because a man in a black leather Jacket and fucking amazing ink told me how to survive this cruel world. Sometimes you just have to get mean. And so I did. It became my only vice when shit got tough. I am fine on my own. I don't need anyone. Ryker: When I found her at just ten years old, she was just as cute, button-nosed, and sweet as a jar of honey. I gave her a bit of advice to survive this cruel world. She needed to learn to be a little mean, otherwise she would have been eaten alive. But now that I found her again, she isn't who she was when we first saw each other. She was known as Viper. She seemed to have taken my advice to heart. And fuck, I believe I created a fucking monster. Viper, a dark-haired, green-eyed, wicked smile, and sharp tongue. She thinks she has to do it on her own. But in reality, she doesn't. She has family. She has me. And Lucifer forbids anyone fucks with what belongs to me. Charlie: When I met her at fourteen years old, I never expected her to stay. She was just some kid wanting a tattoo. She was a firecracker waiting to explode. She was protective of things and people that belonged to her. Dan was meant to just kick her out and let her go on her way, but she stayed.
