Lailan Stafford, she appears to the world to be the epitome of innocence. From her big brown eyes and black hair to the innocent aura that seems emit off of her. Lailan's that girl, the shy one who's never been kissed, or hugged, or held hands with any boy, in fact Lailan can't even talk to boys without becoming flustered. On the outside this is Lailan the young shy innocent girl, that everyone wants but no one gets. But deep down inside Lailan has secrets, embarrassing secrets about her past that only she knows. When Lailan and her parents move to Baker County, Florida, she begins her junior year of high school as the new girl. But for some reason Lailan attracts the most popular group in the whole school and before the first days over she has just made new friends. That is until she meets Benjamin Berdet the bad boy who just got back from juvi, the bad boy who also has quiet a few secrets of his own. Benjamin is the bad ass son of the local Pastor, Lailan is the shy and innocent girl with plenty of baggage, they both have their fair share of skeletons. But who will cave first, who will share everything in order to get what they need most. And what happens when Lailan's skeletons follow her to Florida and Benjamin learns the truth on his own.
