On the desert world of Malak, a lost colony claws for survival. 

An outcast of the colony, Eve runs from the life she had to find a new one in the sand. She knows only one thing for certain, that death lies behind her, and desolation before her. She has no hope in life, and seeks only to escape the clutches of her sadistic father.

Tsett, a member of  the mysterious Howel family and a nebulous future works as a Dune Raker, one who scouts the wastes of Malak for resources to sustain the colonies ever growing population. He seeks only to pass from one day to the next in peace, and away from the scrutiny of House Howel. But do his fellow Rakers pose a greater threat to him than even his family?

Peril lies at the rotten heart of the colony, between twisting alleyways, swarming with rioters, assassins, the poor, the starving and desperate. 
Cassandra, an ex matriarch of an minor family was taken from her kin by fire and rage when a riot destroyed her home and slaughtered her friends and family. Now she must survive among the cutthroat and power hungry merchants, mercenaries and the brutality of inter-familial politics.All Rights Reserved

From the beginning of time, light and dark played games with one another which led to wars between nations and in the hearts of those around. Mana, the string that connects all living and dead to one another saw this and tried to put an end to it for the two only drove the galaxies out of balance and caused chaos. The two were pulled in by the Mana and kept away, yet Mana decided it was unfair to keep both from the rest of the world. Dividing up the two Mana put some into each thing that lived, hoping that it might help take on the burden of what had become of the two. Every living thing had parts of light and dark, but some had more than others. Yet while the two were divided up Mana gave some of itself to those around, the people of the world discovered that they too could influence the flow of the world and used it for their survival. Nations started being engulfed by darkness and its hunger for more taking out light and its pure side. Mana had seen the unbalanced scale and shifted it by adding a new, reborn sibling to the two. A Monyec, one who could harness as much mana as they pleased to put balance back to the galaxy, but just like every living being it has an end to come to. Every five hundred years the Monyec was reborn to put the two in check and give hope to the nations they were not forgotten. Now a new Monyec is born, on the sandy planet of Mearog lies a young Monyec that has much to learn and the long journey ahead.

Those with lighter hair follicles and iris colors are considered problematic; skin tone is no longer the issue. Every race has the ability to be born with lighter features, so there's no prejudice against race. Just physical features. Sybaran is the continent; Nephraim (home village) , Salem (stricter division, where Aero was born), Mieich, and Shankrai, are the 4 subdivisions (countries) of Sybaran that we have so far.
