Percy Jackson is gone.
Or rather, he was forgotten. It was like Hera's scheme all over again; but this time, he had no Annabeth to stay by his side, or Poseidon to call his father, or Camp Half-Blood to go home to. The world simply forgot about him. His powers had betrayed him, those who were once his comrades became his enemies, and his legacy was lost.
So he decides to write a new one.
