Life on The Ark is harsh. One slip up, one mistake, have a second child, or accidentally hearing the wrong thing, you'd be locked up.
The rules are simple.
They're there to protect us.

Anyone under the age of eighteen who commit an offence, are put into The Box. Where juvenile offenders are put till they turn eighteen, then they're get reviewed.
If you commit an offence and your over the age of eighteen, you got floated (sucked into space from the air lock).
Pretty gruesome way to go. But its the way our laws work.

But even laws can be broken. Rules bent.
A second child, Margo Ash Anderson. Her mother hide her from the Ark and the Guard. But even she knew it would not work for long, she knew that something would happen to her mother.
