Meet Rose, a typical teenager who goes to Ridgewood High in Los Angeles. Rose has had a difficult past of running away from her old home with a drunken mother and father and has now come to live with her Aunt Penny, a widowed old lady with a pinch of craziness and a spoonful of laughter.
Rose is still scared from her times with her mother and father and every so often get terrible flashbacks that cause her to become very pale and sick feeling. These flashbacks occur almost everyday and random times...but all of this changes when she meets James. As she enters the beginning of the tenth grade, there stands James in by his locker right next to hers with his blonde hair in his eyes and his brown eyes sparkling in the sunlight just creeping through the roof.
