trying to keep her head above water is not the hardest part of Hazel's life believe it or not. Hazel Martinez was 16 when it happened. having come from a rich family, money, fake friends, drugs, partying, tattoos littered all over her body and being a lesbian but when she loses her parents to a burglary gone horribly wrong while she goes out partying one night, things spiral out of control, fast.
all her parents estate's would be left to her since she's their only child, or so she thought.
hazel is 22 now and doing well in one of the best and most expensive colleges in all of south Carolina, going from irresponsible party girl to the quite girl in the back of the library with glasses and I book always in her hands. she's got a good life now, nice apartment, nice car, real best friend named Kendall white ( who's gay btw but anywayss ), plenty of money, and beauty..... until one day she gets a purple heart in the mail.
