Wanda Maximoff, the youngest member of the new Avengers team, survived the battle against Ultron, the death of her twin brother, and the destruction of her native Sokovia. Now living in the Avengers facility with her comrades, she has a new home and a new family. Everything changed so quickly, and all Wanda has left of her old life is her grief, nightmares, and her powers. The same magic-like powers that changed her life forever, earned her a spot alongside the Avengers, and gave her an unbreakable link with the bearer of the Mind Stone: the Vision.
The Mind Stone isn't the only thing that ties Wanda to Vision. She finds herself happy in his company, enjoying their budding friendship. Of all of the Avengers, he is the one she trusts the most. He understands her and her powers in a way the others don't.
None of the Avengers, not even Vision, can help her when her nightmares grow stronger. No longer harmless dreams, but bloodred visions haunted by a shadow. Pietro has returned, a ghost that only she can see. He claims to be real, but when he thinks she isn't watching, his face changes into something that is NOT her brother. Pietro begins to hunt the Avengers and tear them apart, and Wanda must have the courage to do the unthinkable.

After their third, and hopefully final encounter with Thanos, the reunited Avengers are left to pick up the pieces of the last five years and attempt to move on with their lives. Even with the giant hole left behind by the loss of Tony and Vision, they're still met with the joy that Natasha's return brings. With Sam and Bucky temporarily living with Freya and Steve, who are excitedly expecting twins, things seem like they're slowly returning to a new normal. But Freya can't seem to shake an uneasy feeling after her brief, but nearly violent confrontation with Wanda. The feeling isn't only putting her on edge, but it carries a darkness with it as well. Not long after Wanda leaves, something causes Freya to have an episode with her powers. But instead of her powers lashing out, they're forced to contain an out of control Freya in order to protect the others. Once it passes, new revelations begin to tie everything back to Wanda and her unknown activities. Freya worries for the younger woman and hopes she didn't make a mistake by encouraging her to take time for herself. However, that worry and hope quickly dissolves into fear and guilt when an old friend reaches out for help with a situation only Freya might understand. Without hesitation, Freya, Steve, Sam and Bucky rush to aid the contact. Only to come face to face with something so bizarre and terrifying, even Freya has the urge to stay away. Growing up as a Maximoff had its complications. Money was scarce, but life was good. Family was the only thing that brought Olive joy, and she was okay with that. She was more than okay. It meant so much more to her because she was taken under their wing when she was only four, having lost her birth parents at a very young age. When a bomb blows up in her home and kills her parents, she's broken and conflicted. She doesn't know what to do with herself, she tries living life the best she can but it's difficult. When a man decides to ask the Maximoff siblings to be test subjects, Olive finds herself regretful in following the twins. She may have been the youngest, but that didn't make her dumb. Eventually, the Avengers come in to play, while looking for a sceptre, they come across the Maximoffs and find themselves taking the youngest one with them.
