Casey
Lurking behind the doors hearing voices strangely familiar, peaking through the crack she sees her parents discussing frantically.
"Jack what are we going to do? She's going to eventually find out, I mean honestly who wouldn't and how she can't tell already is beyond me!"
Her father sitting in the chair staring at the fire place puzzled for a minute.
"Yes by now she would be able to figure it out, but maybe she just doesn't want to figure it out, would you want to think that your parents aren't your parents? Come on Katherine, she loves us and is so good to us; when we took her in they vowed to never come back or mention this to us again."
Casey was beyond speech less, what were her parents talking about couldn't be about her?! Than again she's their only child, but why would they be talking about this why would they say that she wasn't their daughter? Why wasn't she informed on this? So many questions pondering in her mind, she leaned ever more closely to the peep hole in the door.
"Jack, if they contacted us they'll contact us again. She'll begin to wonder who they are and why she looks just like them, didn't you noticed Heather looked just like Casey? Oh Jack I don't want to lose my Casey she is my daughter! daughter they didn't want her, they gave her up! We got to do something about this!"
Her father put her hand over her mothers shoulder, "Your right! We do need to do something about this, but first we cannot let her find out the truth....At least not yet she's ours and always will be."
Suddenly a loud bang had sounded as my father's office door slammed opened revealing a disheveled Edward.
My eyes scanning him from head to toe as he was now breathing erratically.
He looked like he just got out of bed with his bed hair, his clothes all wrinkled and only the two top bottom was undone.
His belt was not even clasps and he only had one shoe on.
"Edward." I gasps rising from my chair as he ran to me embracing me.
"Are you okay? You're not hurt in any way are you?" His voice laced with worry.
Sniffing him, he smelt of something sweet even from his messy attire. What has he been doing? I had wondered.
"I came here as fast as I could once I heard the news." He pants, his eyes scanning my entire body, flipping me around as he also scans my back side. If it were any other day I would've gush at his concern.
However that's the least of my worries after all I'm not the one who was targeted.
My thoughts were soon replace by fury.
Slowly pushing him away I wanted to yell at him, scold him for not being there. Maybe if he was there then this wouldn't have happened.
"Where were you?" Instead I had asked calmly. No point in getting angry. I already have a lot on my plate.
"I was...uh..busy." He was busy? What can he possibly be doing that required his attention elsewhere.
