My friend @EclipseKuran asked me to give writing a story on Wattpad a shot, so here I am.

After the destructive turmoil of a Third World War, human civilization quickly degrades into isolated oases of order in seas of chaos. After the frantic scramble of refugees, massacres, diseases, and poverty, these fortresses remained standing. This period allowed for powerful, tyrannical governments to form under the guise of keeping outside dangers from invading the fragile human sanctuaries. Spero is one of these settlements, a city founded at the heart of a massive, abandoned metropolis. The walls serve less for defense, and more to keep the illusion of an outside world left in tatters. All it takes is for one curious human to peer beyond the wreckage, and the fragile lie shatters into a thousand pieces...
