I choke back my anger, but my anger turns my vision red.
Suddenly, there's a cold hand on my arm, and I follow it down to it's owner and leap back. The dead don't move, and yet my father is the one who grabbed me, his eyes looking at me with respect.
"All hail Hades, now Nicole Neron, lady of the Underworld." comes my dad's voice, but there's no emotion in it.
I step back, and that's when the memories come. That's when it all started. Or ended, in the case of my childhood innocence.
Mercifully, I passed out soon after, but not before I heard my mother hiss, "I knew you were unnatural." as I collapse.
That was the beginning. The awakening.
