Many people discriminate, on whether someone's straight or likes the same sex, if someone's different.
Then try as a society to shut these people out.
Hurt them.
Tell them they're not good enough.
Make them feel like their a no one.

It's Who We Are
People around the world suffer for being born with a sex, for associating with a gender, for having darker skin, for having different beliefs, or for simply loving someone. Is there really nothing we can do other than being persecuted endlessly for who we are? None of us asked for being here, for having curly hair, for being born in the wrong body, for being raised with a different culture. And despite still living, we are mocked, put aside, looked down on, and spat at. Just for being different. Is this what the human race was put on Earth to do? To hate on its own kind? * For a school project I'm writing short stories about different minorities or discriminated people. Each story takes place somewhere in the U.S. even though hate is worldwide. The characters live their daily lives explaining how they make it through the day. I'm trying to show what feelings people have when out in certain situations and bring awareness to my surroundings about people not feeling good in their shoes. I try not to put the blame on certain people and I try to stay away from stereotypes. But of course it isn't always easy. I hope I won't be offending anyone, and if I am please excuse me and explain to me how I could change my texts to make them better. *Short Story* It is difficult to stay with the people who look down at you like you are some kind of disease. It hurts when they don't want to acknowledge you for the good things you have done. It hurts when your family rejects you only because you are quiet and weak saying you are good for nothing. Annie Ryan was nothing but a quiet, innocent teenager waiting for her mate to save her from the dark hell she was living in. She had only one dream, she wanted to feel loved, she wanted someone to tell her that they care and would love her no matter what happens. But little did she know that she was just another unfortunate soul whose mate had different plans. Caden was an young alpha. He had everything but where everyone was eager to meet their mate, he wasn't. He had already given his position of alpha female to his girlfriend. But after she left him, he turned cold and ruthless. Is This The End?
I had been living in this dystopian universe my whole life. We lived simple, meaningless lives. I wasn't sad, merely dissatisfied. No one here was ever sad. The Center, which was our government, forced us to take a pill every morning to make sure we were always happy and healthy. For most of our lives we lived at home with our odd families that the government stuck us into as babies. Usually five children were put into each household. We grew up together in a single house, raised and taught by a robot even though none of us were related. We lived at home with limitless entertainment in the form of advanced technologies. We had one day of the week for shopping, one day for going out and one day for labor. On labor days we were assigned a job and had to complete it in order to gain money for the week. Everyone got the same amount no matter the job. If you didn't show up for these jobs there were grave consequences. The Center often used torture as a method of punishment, or so we were told. No one close to me had ever actually been punished by The Center though. It was incredibly rare. Most of us lived our lives as good little pawns doing nothing more than eating, sleeping and entertaining ourselves. But one day, my regular boring life changed...Concluida
