Jareth's duty is to not only take children but to watch over them. This is a Sarah/Jareth story. Sarah is ignored as an infant by everyone but her older sister Lacy and the Goblin King seems to have quite the soft spot for the child. Lacy and Jareth are the only things that keep her alive. What will happen when Sarah finds out that she is meant to be Jareth's Queen witch is why only him and her adoptive sister Lacy care for her and love her. I am writing this story because David Bowie is dead. The movie the Labyrinth was made before I was born and I grew up watching the man who was in love with a 15 year old girl with his way to tight pants and wild hair I loved hearing Magic Dance and the other songs in the Labyrinth. To me he will always be Jareth the terrifying and misunderstood Goblin King.
