Some people wake up already knowing the day will be better than the day before but for 18-year-old Nikki Pierce that isn't the case.
At her age Nikki thought that the only thing she would've had to worry about was graduating high school and working late-nights but in less than a day her whole world was flipped upside down.
It's the end of the world - literally. With the dead coming back to life and the world going to shit, Nikki finds herself being launched into a world of mayhem with blood-thirsty, flesh-eating monsters but with the help of other survivors, Nikki refuses to go down without a fight.
Trusting others is no longer an easy thing to come by. It's now all about survival of the fittest. The top of the food chain has now become endangered by their own kind where humans are now the prey.
Nikki knows one thing and it's that she will stop at nothing to find her family even if it means fighting to survive another day until a cure is found. Even if it means facing her past mistakes that still haunt her.

Which is hard for her considering she never was able to be around people. Shes not a people person. Shes a closed off, strong willed, lone wolf. Shes needs to learn how to survive with the dead walking around. Will she be able to survive with the new people she's going to meet?
