Emry learned young that the only person that'll love and protect you is yourself. She never gets close to people. She stays away, that way they wouldn't be able to hurt her. Her life has been filled with betrayal and its a constant reminder that people are cruel beings. She's better off being alone, or at least that's what she thought. Enter Kaiden Adams, he's the poster boy for the perfect child. He's a sweet guy who looks at the best in people. Too bad he can't see his long time girlfriend for who she really is. One of his biggest problems is he hates change and sometimes doesn't know what he wants. When the new girl walks in with her head down something about her draws him in, and it isn't pity. Can Emry actually let him in enough to actually trust him? Will it be worth it or will it just make her even more broken?
