Seventeen-year-old Vivienne lives a secret life as a professional assassin; vicious, blood-thirsty and ice cold. She is a highly respected member of a group of adolescents that call themselves "the Orphaned", for they have been banished or left behind by their families. As she sets off to fulfill her next assignment in the supernatural town of Beacon Hills, the huntress becomes the hunted.
