William Testament is a mild mannered insurance man until his life becomes a series of unfortunate events, beginning with a horrific car accident. A visit to a meditation retreat changes his whole mindset and a mysterious and beautiful nightclub owner who moonlights as a sorceress seems to understand his mind better than he does. The city they live in is a dynamic place in the near future, but built up from the past, layers of millenia holding up its foundations, and dark energies working deep beneath its basements.
