"Daddy I wanna be a fighter." I said and he stopped jogging which made me stop.

"Nova... I'm so pro-" my daddy started until we heard a gun shot than my daddy fell to the ground and I screamed and I looked up at a man and woman and the woman held the gun.

I dropped to my knees and I held on to my daddy as he coughed up blood. I ran my hands down his face.

"Daddy don't leave me" I cried out. He gave me a small smile as he touched my hand than was now cupping his cheek.

"Nova I want you to take care of your brother, baby I'm proud that you want to be a fighter. Finish my journey with yours. Find a good boy along the way and make sure you tell my grandbabies what  I tell you now. Stay alive and keep safe a fighter never quits even in the last round." My daddy said smiling and laughing like he was not bleeding out. He coughed again and I cried as his eyes started to close and his breath stopped panting...
