I am more powerful than even vampires.  I have better senses than werewolves, am faster than any other being, hide my scent, and can read and control minds with ease.  I am Vortex.  

I have been running from supers for about a year now.  There are vampires, werewolves, witches, demons and maybe angels.  We don't know, only demons have claimed to see them, but we all know that demons are not trustworthy.  I am not human, nor any known kind of super.  I have like 20 people chasing me, and I don't even know why.  I mean, it's not like I did anything to them.  Supers tend not to like me because they like to show their power over people, but they can't do that with me.  My life isn't all that bad though.  It goes completely insane when this guy finds me and invites me to hang out with the King of Vampires....All Rights Reserved

Soon I found that many children had been taken, Human, Vampire, Werewolf and Elf. Never any ransom, the children simply disappeared. So I searched with Sam - niece of the Master Vampire, Sean Strathearn - a friend from the SAS, Fanny - a Faery stripper and of course Gizmo - a very special dog. We travelled realms, fought with Dragons and found Mabel - probably the most evil person I have ever met.
