"I think that love and sadness are the only real feelings." She looked in the direction of the wind, her hair blowing towards me in it. "And I think it's sad how often they're associated with each other." She added.

"Thats a weird way of looking at it." I told her. She gave me a questioning look. She was beautiful, I couldn't lie about that. "I mean. It's like they say, the hottest loves end in ice. Maybe they're always related but maybe that's the way it's meant to be." I shrugged. "Maybe no ones supposed to burn for eternity."

Gianna -Gia to everyone who wasn't her dads side of the family, was the girl everyone knew and loved. She was beautiful, confident, smart, funny, and could make any situation a good one. She embraced everyone she knew with open arms and an open heart, never wearing her heart on her shoulder, but always honest in certain ways.

Eli was the guy who acted like he knew no one, when in reality almost everyone knew him. He was the guy with the hair and the weed. He seemed confident to anyone who didn't know him, but anyone close to him knew he was one of the most insecure people you'd ever meet. He'd been heartbroken enough times to damage his almost non existent self esteem and make him never want to trust anyone again.

They were polar opposites.

Or were they?

One thing for sure; they were both ridiculously hopeless romantics. And they both hated it.

So what happens when Gianna enters Eli's life. Will he trust her? Will he truly let her in? Will Gianna reveal herself to be something other than who everyone thinks she is?
