Right when Maddie vanished from her sight into the forest, Emily realized she now alone. Alone. She kept walking, then everything went silent. Too silent. The trees stopped swaying, the wind stopped blowing, and the birds stopped singing. He's near. Emily thought. Then she heard a snap of a twig. She whipped around. Nothing. Someone was there. Someone, or something. Everything was still. Then she jumped to the sound of a deathly scream. A familiar scream. But not of Kayla, or Maddie, or Ethan. It was someone else. Then something caught her eye. Above the trees. Something flew past her. Something red, and black. Something armed with weapons. Then Emily realized it was a someone. Someone familiar. Then the figure swept by again. Each time, closer and closer. Emily waited for a clear shot, then fired at the figure, but it made a loud 'clang'. The arrow came flying back at her head and she ducked just in time. The figure dived towards her at a fast pace. Emily franticly shot as many arrows as she could, trying to get the figure to back away. But it wouldn't stop. She screamed loudly and took a knife off her back and swung at it as it got within touching distance. It easily dodged all her blows. The figure swallowed her up quickly, muffling her screams. In seconds, both Emily and the figure were gone.

Even the Stars Forgot Her Name She wasn't trying to disappear. It just started happening-one forgotten moment at a time. At seventeen, Haley feels like the world has quietly moved on without her. She goes to school, she comes home, she scrolls through life like it's happening to someone else. Her parents are always too busy, her old friends have new lives, and no one seems to notice how quiet she's become-or how much it hurts. She used to dream big. Now she just dreams of being seen. Then one night, in a haze of insomnia and scrolling, Haley finds an anonymous online forum where people share the things they're too scared to say out loud. And something about their pain-the raw honesty, the way it mirrors her own-pulls her in. As the nights stretch on and the stars stay silent, Haley starts to connect with others who feel like ghosts in their own lives. In their stories, she finds flickers of light. Maybe she isn't invisible. Maybe she isn't broken beyond repair. Maybe being lost doesn't mean you'll never be found. This is a quiet, aching story about loneliness, unseen pain, and the fight to remember who you are-especially when the world forgets.
