You know, they call me insane, they say I was dropped as a baby, hit with a baseball bat, something along those lines anyway. They put me in this asylum, thinking it would help with what I had. They tell me what I see are just hallucinations. But what they don't know, is that I don't see anything at all. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. It's just a lie to entertain myself. I enjoy watching them squirm left and right, trying to figure out what's wrong with me. But I'm not insane, or even stupid. Could a stupid person escape from an insane asylum? I didn't think so. Yet something's holding me back. I have a secret. A darker, deeper secret then my lie. So deep, even I don't know. Until it's too late.

Turning into the monster under the bed instead of the scared child under the covers. It was drowning me fast, taking me under, until I started breathing it like oxygen. Until it had me hooked by the neck, and I couldn't make my escape. I don't know how he found me or why he stayed by my side. I just know his love was so intoxicating, that it saved me. And I know his love was so addicting, that it killed me. Or maybe I was dead all along.

December twentieth is the day I remember being brought into the asylum for the first time. Like any typical psychopath, I screamed. I cried. I remember snatching the nurse's hair until she screamed and I was slapped into unconsciousness and thrown into the room. The only difference? I wasn't a psychopath. For the first few days, I would cry maniacally upon hearing any nurse go by, to catch one's attention and tell her that I wasn't insane. "That's exactly what an insane person would say" They said, unbothered and it was as if my fate rested in the mouldy walls of the Asylum. And I soon realized that there was no use fighting for my life now .Which brings me to the present day, another one that I'll mark in history with red. The day I met him.

When your neck is cold, don't turn around. And if you ever feel alone, run. I hope you are uncomfortable.
