HELLO! I'm Ryley James Ryan Degagne Hansen and this is basically the story of my life well love life mainly... Well if you are asking me whether I'm thrilled about my story getting published....I'm not. Telling Bless a.k.a. the author my story was the worst thing I've ever done. In my defense, I told all this to her when she was merely a kid. I didn't expect her to remember everything I told her! Why was I talking to a kid about my love life? I'm like Joey Tribbiani in real life...So don't ask me tricky questions! Anyway I'd also like to say I'm honored that my story is the first she is publishing on here. I woke up this morning completely prepared for the day, right then and there I knew that the day was going to be strange. I never woke up screaming good morning to the world, I was a person who woke up looking like a hobo wanting to punch a wall. I got dressed up for some reason. I think it was mostly influenced by being the only matching clothes I had washed. I threw on some makeup and headed out the door. This is Rylie, she's a sarcastic "bad girl". Typical teenager, she's into her screaming music and she's a social little butterfly. Her life is suddenly flipped around when a new neighbor comes to town. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone!
