Alteration

When a famed treasure-hunting clan ransacks and burns down their city, two young girls are forced out into the world: Emery, a naive tavern girl, follows and later joins the clan in an attempt to find her father, while Cetti, an orphan pickpocket, is kidnapped and forced to pretend she is the Lost Princess of Condur for an elaborate heist. Their paths cross multiple times, entwining into a story of adventure and dark surprises as their lives are endangered, and both girls must grow up faster than they deserve to stay alive in a world they've never known before.
