Superheros right? So many people take then for granted, you know the usual thing, teenage superhero, balancing an everyday teen life with that of a superhero? Makes an amazing comical story right?
Right, it does, but behind that mask, they're really just like us, though they kinda know being a hero sucks, however we wish we had something like that, a rush of excitement, I guess that's why we read, it's why I read at least, because an everyday life is boring.
This is Juliet's story, the story of an Australian superhero thrust into a world much different from her own.
Bring a superhero rocks, if you can survive high school that is.
"Yeah... I guess it all started when he asked me for the extra lessons.."
Mirko, an orphan, lived under a bridge with her brother Toby, after escaping the "accident". In a world where they were unaccepted and rejected, where they needed to stole to eat. In a world where heroes, vigilantes, villains and criminals exist, and we never know which side to pick... "Don't choose sides, choose people" They said. Life was nuts to the siblings, they went to school and nobody knew about their story...
But in Mirko's ninth year of education, she met people that would change the way she saw the world... People that she knew she could trust. Or could she?
