There is a legend of the spirit Yan-gant-y-tan "Wanderer in the Night". He has a candle on each of his five fingers on his right hand. He cannot make a turn because he must spin his burning hand and by turning he would extinguish his lights. He is considered a bad omen and the way to ward him off is by leaving a bag of gold on a traveler's post.
This is the story of the Wanderer's child who has been locked away by his earthly parents for years now...until the girl of a new family finds him.
