Mute; refraining from speech or temporarily speechless

Audrey is 18 years old. She is considered mute. She does not talk and hasn't since she was five. The year she started school. Her mom and therapist think its school that did this to her. She was at first diagnosed with Selective Mutism, but it wasn't correct. She had social anxiety, but she did not have Selective Mutism because she talked no where. Not at school or home. It came to the point where she couldn't go to school. She was home schooled and classified as a weirdo to the people that knew who she was.

Audrey was beautiful though. Since she was little she had wild curly hair. It was a massive problem at the time, but as she grew up she grew to love it. Audrey has brown eyes. Her body is perfect for her and always has been. She doesn't ever want to change and she isn't insecure. Audrey just can't talk and she won't tell anyone why. Her mom has tried asking. Her best friend since five has tried asking and now her therapist is a little more worried, but he can't do anything.

"Being mute isn't a disability. It just means that God loves you so much that He took away your voice so that you don't hurt others verbally. You see, He doesn't want you to do what others are doing to you." ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ When Sierra Bloom suffers a tragedy that costs her both her family and her voice, she shuts down every bit of emotion and passion within her and brings out a new and cold her that doesn't like being around people and things that are easy to get attached to. Enter David Hale. Cheerful, bright, friendly -a shocking contrast to her cold, closed off personality. Not only does David do things she dislikes, he also does not know when to give up on her. What is Sierra supposed to do when he keeps bringing out the old her and makes her forget the tragedy she caused? The answer is obvious; shut him out and run away. That's the solution.... right? ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ This book was written in 2013, back when I was still pretty much a kid. It hasn't been edited and there are many issues I find with it. I may or may not edit//re-write, but if I do I don't think I'll post it here. At least, for now. In any case, the person I was then is not the person I am now lmaoo but I'm still proud of younger me for this cute little thing. I love all my lovely, LOVELY readers who have sent me such beautiful messages about this book ♥ Thank you for loving my book, it means the world to me. ⌔ - 2023 Update ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ Achievements: General Fiction: #81 Romance: #186 Kisses: #4 ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ ⌔ All Rights Reserved. Ilah-May Cameron, that typical, invisible 16 year old teenager lives with her mother, and has nothing better to do with her life other than listen to music in her room and go to school. Like movies, books and tv shows, life can change drastically at any moment; when Ilah-May meets a guy outside of school is when her world totally crushes her to the point she reckons she'll never get back up. (This was written a few years ago. . . Sorry about the bad quality). Don't read if you're easily triggered and don't read if you don't like cappily written books. Thanks.
