Aleshia, a 17 year old girl has been working in the towns library for years now. She knows the aisles like the back of her hand and the regulars who show up every now and again. She doesn't get paid much but she still loves it more than anything.

You see, Aleshia is different. She's just about to graduate high school and she still hasn't been on a single date, to a party, stayed out past curfew, or really anything that a normal 17 year old has experienced. But, she's more than okay with that. Aleshia has grown up lonely and has gotten used it by now. Even with her tough family life, she knows its not the easiest of situations, but she accepts it and is grateful to even have people by her side. At school, nobody notices her all that much, but she likes it that way. The ones who do notice her all see her as that 'dork who works in the library with no life', but to Aleshia, that is one of the biggest compliments.

She is perfectly okay with being invisible. That is, until a stranger walks into the library one day and asks her for a recommendation and wants to hear about her. Who is this stranger and why is he noticing Aleshia, when nobody else has?
