This is a short Science Fiction comedy I wrote about 2 years ago concerning a particularly mentally "unstable" chemist, and the voice in his head that really doesn't want to help him keep on track. His goal is to create the Philosopher's Stone and save humanity. But Humanity doesn't need saving, no...it needs something else entirely, a solution. The Chemist will find himself in a series of circumstances that make him concerned he may have inadvertently been more of a threat to humanity than what he thought he'd been researching, and the solution to it all, was in his head.

That's all I'm going to say, was always planning on turning it into a full novel but I've only got 14 chapters in. I'm posting the original short-story to see what kind of feedback I can get (all is appreciated), and if I should upload the chapters I have currently. Been working on other stuff lately but would like to go back to uploading on this site. Took my old stuff off here a while ago so here for a fresh start! I haven't went back and done a re-edit on the story just going to post it as is and if people like it then I'll do the same with the chapters I have and just post them all. Thanks in advance!

PS *The new title is "The Solution to something-or-other" I have a new cover in the works to go along with the chapters. This was just the cover I made up quick to go with the short story originally 2 years ago.

As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.

[Sherlock/Harry Potter/Wednesday crossover] Book 1: Philosophers Stone Y/N Holmes, the Son of the famous Auror/detective, Sherlock Holmes, and the one woman who melted his ice cold heart, "Irene Adler". Being the son of "The worlds greatest detective" and the supposedly the most insane witch of her era isn't all it's cracked up to be. First, Y/N is constantly being compared to his father, the long shadow overcasting him. Second, he has never actually met his mother before, and his father is distant to say the least, Y/N mostly grew up being looked after by the only parental figure in his life, Mrs Hudson. But when he receives a letter informing he has a place at a boarding school for witches and Wizards, and seers, Y/N views it as a chance to go somewhere where he isn't known and where he can maybe earn his fathers respect by accomplishing as best as he can, Y/N leaps on the chance, soon finding himself following in his fathers footsteps as he tries to solve a mystery. Along with the mysteries of goings on in Hogwarts, Y/N is also trying to solve one mystery that perplexes even his cold calculating mind, the mystery in question? Wednesday Addams. For Y/N and his acquaintances...the game is afoot.
