Sixteen year old Clove Kentwell is chosen and must rely on her sharp knifes and skills to make it out alive. She goes up against highly trained Tributes that will kill in anyone in a second. If she is ever to make it home to her family, she must fight for her life hiding how she really is.

What if district 13 didn't get blown up? And what if there was a 14th district hidden from everyone? District 14 wasn't known to the public, it was kept hidden due to the lack of people. They were told that as soon as their population increased than they would be entered into the Hunger Games. Only they didn't know it would be this soon. When Marlowe Ordell hears the announcement she fears for the life of her 12 year old brother. There was a 1 in 400 chance that he gets called and he'd be all alone. She never once thought about her own life until she was the one to be called. She runs into a Career Tribute who takes an interest to her.
